Correct RBA for my EU baby tank

Hi,
After my initial introduction on getting a Smok AL85 with the baby tank I wanted to know what RBA coil I would need to get for it. I see advertised TFV8 Baby RBA but wasn't sure if it would fit the tank I'm getting which is the 2ml EU baby tank. Just wanted to make sure it was compatible with the 2ml EU tank as it seems advertised for the Baby 3ml and Big Baby 5ml tank?

Welcome to the forum.

The RBA is designed for the 3ml non TPD compliant baby beast. It is not compatible with the 2ml baby as standard and that is the only RBA there is. There isn't an RBA specifically for the 2ml version. However, you can make it fit the 2ml TPD compliant baby beast by using this kit that comes with a bigger 3.5ml glass tank and chimney extension......

Thanks for the reply and the link Mitz. It was more the phyical fitment of the coil in the tank I was unsure of, ie. that the same coils are used across the TFV8 range. I have sourced a new glass which is 3mm longer which I believe is needed for the RBA's extra height so it was just been sure the coil from the 3ml and 5ml tank will physically screw in and fit?

The coils are not all the same across the entire TFV8 range.

Yes, the rba coil will screw in to the 2ml tank base but with the 3ml glass you've bought the extra height will mean that it won't attach to the top section correctly. That is why the kit I posted also comes with a chimney extension. The chimney extension will not fit with the 3ml glass either as the height is different compared to the 3.5ml glass provided in the kit.

The only way you can get the rba to fit the 2ml tank is with the extension kit I posted.

Ok, so I've got the 2ml and 3ml tanks along with the rba and extension kit. I just measured them all.

The 2ml glass is 16mm
The 3ml glass is 20mm
The 3.5ml glass is 22mm

Seeing as you have the baby 2ml with 16mm glass and you've ordered a glass 3mm longer you will be getting a 19mm glass. So to test it out I took my 3ml glass tank which is 20mm (1mm longer than what you've got comming) and tried it with the rba in my 2ml tank. And it is JUST A FRACTION too tall and won't screw in properly. 1mm less could make all the difference and make it fit properly. So I think the 19mm glass will work.

Thanks for taking the time to measure things up Mitz, it's much apprciated. I'll be able to have my first ever go at making my own coils, should help reduce the cost of replacing the standard Smok coils. Thanks
