Cotton vs mesh

What is better and why?

Not used mesh in a long time use to use it in protank coils get awsome flavour and wicks really well and can be reused over and over with a good clean but if you dont prep it just right it will cause you nowt but problems with shorts and hot spots

Cotton is much easyer to use less faff its cheaper so if you rewick regularly its not to much of an issue nice crisp flavour but at first can leave a cotton after taste for a tank or so of juice and if you get a dry burn you know about it

I only ever use muji cotton now cant be doing with the messing with mesh as I said cottons a lot easyer to use imho

I prefer mesh wicks, if you get a dry hit it doesn't spoil them, just fill up with juice again & carry on vaping.
Never liked the taste of silica wicks.
Now I have sub tank nano (cotton wick) vapes great but got a dry hit when the juice ran out but luckily got away with it.
Also have a mod tank 25 from Naturevape which came with 2 mesh wicked coils that were great, then tried the cotton wicked coil from them which vapes just as good as the sub tank nano.
To conclude I would still prefer steel mesh wick.

Mesh. Recently converted from being on just cotton and what a difference. Better taste (more crisp/clean) and easier to maintain win win.
Started my mesh route by way of Genesis attys and now have another en route.
Mesh for the win[emoji106]

Never used mesh. But cotton is so easy to work with and dirt cheap, I see no reason to change :)

Ask juggles about mesh wicks!

I had a mesh wick in my Mephisto a few months back and regret taking it out quite often.
Aye, cotton is easier to get going and a bit less fannying about, but on some flavours like fruits and tobacco a mesh wick brings out a smeg lot more subtleties in a juice. And it is even easier to change flavours.
Worth a wee go at some point!
Gennesis atties however are evil. :14:

So I'm being won over by mesh, and thus has been added to the shopping list. Will be using in Taifun GT 2 (suitable?). If so what grade am I looking for?

I used the 400 in the Mephisto, and I think it is the most popular and functional grade to get.
No sure on the Taifun, ask MrTeaTime....
