Cotton vs mesh

Mesh all the way for fruits, can't beat it for flavour. Custards on the other hand deserve cotton. Genesis tanks are my adv generally, i can have 3-4 on the go at any one time and the've never seen a bit of cotton

If you do decide to get a genesis, the middle priced nextgen from Ft is a good deal. Easy Bugger to coil on and quite forgiving on mesh builds

I'll tell the good lady you told me so [emoji2]

Fuck it, I'm jumping aboard the mesh express.

What's the worse that could happen...

The worst is that you get driven insane trying to get rid of hot spots that come back as soon as you think you have it sorted.
My first build was great and lasted months, and have just picked up my kraken that i put down a few months ago after a couple of days trying to replicate it.

Now then...

After about an hour and a half of complete faff and fannying, I've successfully (sort of) installed a mesh wick in my Taifun GT2.

As promised EmbraSewerRat, here are some (pretty rubbish) pics.

Here she is nestled in her little bed successfully glowing. Coil weighing at 1.03 ohms.

She shorted out soon after this, but with perseverance I wasn't going to give in.

Gates up, and she's looking good.

Bell cap on, filled with manabush Powwow and vaping like a dream.

I must say, the flavour is a lot more cleaner and defined (for me anyway). I know Powwow isn't strictly a tobacco flavour, but the mesh certainly does make the notes fuller.

The downside...yeah a bit of a faff, shorting out all over the gaff and wasted about 10ml of Powwow for my efforts, but all in the good name of science I must add!

I've quite a bit of 400 grade mesh left from the kind donation from Embra, so if anybody fancies giving it a go drop me a PM and I'll pass some on.

Looks alot tidier then cotton, might have to give it a try next time i'm bored on a sunday afternoon

Looking good fella well done. If you have any wicking issues it may be worth trying some 200 superfine. I can always send you a sample just PM me.
I'm using mesh as opposed to cotton more and more now just for the taste but the convenience of that dry burn and longevity of the wick is a total no brainer.
