I was reading last night that people use cotton as a wick.
I presumed that cotton would simply burn up, does it not?

This would push the price down to ridiculous levels. I mean 10m of kanthal and a load of cotton for a few pounds and you've got close to 100 coil/wick assemblies.

What is this witchcraft!?!

Yes cotton wool will burn unless you keep it wet all the time. If you are not careful it can be a nasty experience that you will not repeat unless you would like a lung transplant ;)

Yep.. I find cotton better than silica wicks .... But be careful to use only organic cotton.. The regular ones would have chemicals in them and hence harmful for vaping.

I find the flavour far better with cotton. Depends on the attie I suppose. Gravity/pressure fed (my preference) bottom coil it's superb but not the wick of choice for many that prefer genesis style/top coil atties.

Mason.

simply organic cotton wool is what ya need. boots, tescos, asda, or holand and barratt health shop. its pure unbleached organic totton you can get balls or pleats around £2 or just under

Heard a bit of talk about the organic thing. Where do you buy your organic cotton ? I just have regular asda cotton wool balls for my wicks, i imagine it's all washed when they process it but i would still rather go organic, as with anything where possible.

I think its available at almost all stores.. Easiest is search for organic cotton balls on Amazon!

One example http://www.amazon.co.uk/Simply-Gent...qid=1391264408&sr=8-3&keywords=organic+cotton

I'm really getting into cotton too, I've got organic balls from wilkinsons - two packs for £2.20 but one pack is gonna last me ages.
