Bull shit. Viruses mutate all the time, they don't need help from anything or anyone. Haven't people got better thing's to do than make this shit up to pass on blame.

The article is saying because our reaction to the virus was so woeful and so many people were infected we have given it the opportunity to mutate and if we had lockdown earlier this might have been avoided.
It does make some sense to me tbh

How about a don't know option please?

Absolutely the truth, another case of some fantasist novelist working for a media company having to fill time. It seems the media don’t report news anymore they make it up instead. Oh and the same mutation has been found in Australia and South Africa. Amoeba to dinosaur? And that was before humans existed, never mind British ones.

you couldn't of screwed this up anymore even if boris had licked the face of a covid patient and then spat it all over daily press broadcast whilst licking 66 million stamps for the build back better campaign

Isn't it interesting two of the replies so far are obviously by people that haven't bothered to read the article.
One of those seems to think it was written by a fanatical novelist :goodjob:

Don't know mate, I disagree. It's my understanding that a virus mutates more quickly if it is in danger of becoming destroyed. If we were late to react surely it would stay as it is.

You know what I find more interesting...

When the MSM kept telling everybody that COVID-19 was NOT CREATED nor ORIGINATED in a lab in China/Wuhan...

Mind you if the Guardian checked their own recent archives they were blaming Spain a while ago...
