I have read the content, but I’ve not spoken to the professor to confirm with him what he said to the reporter, have you? Or how the question to him was phrased, because you obviously blindly believe everything you read in the press it would seem.

Possibly the Dickheads of Downing Street panicked about a huge spread of the virus by giving the green light to the countless morons to gather at Xmas and hug each other whilst feeling obliged to spend time with the family they couldn't wait to get away from but were guilt tripped into going home for some shitty dry turkey and to sneak away and meet up with their old mates so as to spread the virus even further. They exaggerated the new strain as an excuse to backtrack and now the rest of the world has picked up on it and decided not to allow UK residents into their own pox ridden countries.

I've been looking all year to get away for a mini break (when it was permitted to do so) and although our Government allowed travel to Europe most European countries didn't allow English citizens in.
They're only banning planes now,most had already banned passengers entering already...

In the COG-UK report (the people that are doing the mass sequencing of mutations) - they hypothesise that because this variant has so many mutations, it probably occured in an immuno-surpressed patient - so you could argue that we may have indirectly created the conditions
