What's new

Dec 16th new eu deadline

12 mg would suck, cartos would suck, why can't they just accept they know sfa & just add an age restriction?
that's all the regulation we need as far as I can see, we are free thinking intelligent adults and we should be free to get our nicotine in a way we choose not have it dictated to us as though we are naughty children. What's next no coffee because they decide caffeine is a medical product.

Age restriction is already in play thanks to amendment 170, which also included several other basic common sense much needed regulations:

  • manufacturing standards
  • age restrictions for sales and marketing/advertising
  • accurate labeling
  • child-proof containers
  • and no health claims

the problem lies with the eu being scared of history and the unknown, they dont want ecigs to be just like tobacco companies are today with ev1 using them, but, blindly blocking ecigs leaves the worse situation in play. I can understand them not wanting to repeat history with the likes of asbestos, formaldehyde etc which had very serious health concerns many years after high impact uptake, but we KNOW tobacco kills 1 in every other smoker, we KNOW it costs governments millions every year to treat diseases related to the carcogens, so is it really a case of better the devil you know? arent we better off with possible health problems at a very reduced chance than a known killer? its that fact they cant accept
