I'm very lucky as i have a good friend who kits out the london ambulances and he gets me drawing syringes from the smallest right upto 60ml and he got me loads and loads of blunt tip needles

This is what I've done.

I use this method,lasts ages though a blast in the ultrasonic cleaner will set off the varnish peeling away.

I use the plastic braun syringes. Been using them for ages and the lines/numbers haven't worn off. You can get them off Ebay.

Simple solution for the super cheap disposables is not to touch the printed graduation markings with your fingers and never, ever wipe them with tissue or cloth, just rinse them after use and let them air dry.
