Juice ingressed as the Dicodes Dani Box Mini sat in a drawer unloved. Went to fire it up a couple of days ago and the buttons were solid. So, to give it a good old clean with some Isopropyl alcohol, a teardown is required.

Honestly, it’s not that tough but I thought I’d do a post in case anyone else needs to.

1. undo the three screws at the base *the single one is very short and can fall out and hide under your desk somewhere. Trust me, I know >:/

2. the other two are long and fix the base to the cap

3. the only thing holiday everything together are two clips - don’t try to remove the top until the clips are out

4. I used a small flat screwdriver to pry the clips out enough so I could get purchase with pliers - then just pull them out…remembering which way around they go. I didn’t - but I found this video:

5. the top will now slide off with the circuit board attached

6. Do what you need to do then reassemble

Buttons just push out of the case - then attack them and the holes with alcohol-soaked Cotten buds

Tighten long ones first as this draws the base back onto the mod

I had the same thing happen to a Mixx which no longer works and the screen is totally fuzzy. It's probably had it but I might have a shufty at it with the torx screwdrivers I bought the other week, can't do any harm. Ta.
