This is my own vc mix, on the right is a fresh mix and the left has been steeped for 2 weeks :)

Looking good there :) it's amazing how much the colour changes, but at least it is an indicator of readiness.

Cor blimey guv, I'm hoping Mr Postie will bring me some Capella VC today and I'll make sure to steep it for ages. But that will be tough, really tough...

Capellas Vanilla Custard 15%

Perfumer's Apprentice Dulche De Leche 2%

Ethyl Maltol, between 1 and 2 drops Per 10ml

It will look a light Straw Colour, give it a minimum of a week to steep, Cap Off, when ready it turns to a light orange. Nom nom :D

Cap off you say, is it best to steep with the cap off?
I don't have an airing cupboard or anywhere decent to steep so I tend to keep them in a Jiffy bag :)

It's always best with the cap off, I put mine in a kitchen cupboard that rarely gets opend :)

Got a batch I brewed last night. Cant wait untill it hits the orangey colour. Been doing the same minus the ddl. Also got a batch of my improvement to thug juice on the go, stronger flavour and a hint of other fruits to deepen the flavour. The wait is killing me

I had a flavour I mixed ages ago (3 different baccy + coffee + caramel + smoked hickory + koolada) it was vile. Anyway several months later I tried it again & it's really nice now, a tad strong in flavour (great for when you lose all taste), buit according to that steeping definitely worked for it.
I noticed 1 of the tobacco flavours I used in it had a nasty chemical taste (on it's own) so i've mixed some of that & have left it to steep.

I have Capella Ssrawberry & cream which turns a deep orangey colour after that has been left a few weeks, yet an orange flavour I have doesnt change at all
