Hi,
I'm new to this forum, but I've been using Nicotine Salts since October 2018 and here in NY as laws clamp down on distributors I've stocked up on E-Juice. Ever since the beginning of this year I noticed that the Nicotine Salt juices I've been buying don't satisfy me the same way, they don't even have the same physiological effect. New Nic-Salts seem to be more like freebase juice.
To illustrate I'll explain further, I ordered 10 bottles my favorite juice late last year and I received 2 bottles that were normal and 8 that were a different color, but all in the same packaging. Upon trying them I noticed that the darker, new formula didn't work as a nicotine salt to me. It felt more like a freebase with no throat-hit. Since then, I've tried countless brands and flavors all to no avail, and I can't seem to find an explanation anywhere. The only thing that stands out to me is that scientific journals explain different acids used to make nicotine salts (Benzoic, Pyruvic etc.) and I'm wondering if the issue lies there. Is it possible that the industry switched, if so, how am I the only one to notice and be affected?
Has any nic-salt user had a similar experience? No amount of research is helping me determine which manufacturers use which. I'm finding that no nicotine juice available anymore works the way all my old juices have and it's really bothering me. I don't really have any vaping friends or anything to help me and I am really hoping the community here can guide me.
Thanks so much.
