Hey all,

So i've been trying out mixing a lot lately. I've mixed up a few single flavour concentrates and i'm wondering if i'm going wrong somewhere. I started out making 50/50 mixed juices at 20% flavouring, this gave quite a sharp throat hit. Tried mixing a 65/35 VG/PG and still got the sharp throat hit.

My question is, is this normal for freshly mixed juices (when I say freshly mixed I mean a couple of days steep). Am I jumping the gun trying them and will they lose a little of the sharpness with more of a steep?

Flavour concentrates are all fruit flavours.

You haven't mentioned your nic level (%) and what you're vaping these juices on.
Normally fruits do not require much steeping ... but whose concentrates are you using? Don't say my own ... ;)

Apologies, I mix them at 6mg and i've tried them in various different drippers and some different tanks (Russian, Rose)

Vapours-R-Us and some perfumers apprentice
I've never used Vapours-R-Us but you're off the mark with TPA - probably double the flavour needed - knock them back by 50% down to 10% and see if that improves them.
You could mix the same amount of base and add that to what's remaining of each juice, should take the flavouring down from 20% to 10%, give it 24 hours and see if the sharpness has mellowed a bit.
If that's the problem do the same with the F-R-Us mixes.

Awesome! will give it a try!

+1 to this ^^^

I find that overly high flavour percentages can be quite rough on the throat.

Hope you manage to fix it...of not, pop back and we will try and help you some more

I'll knock up a 5ml sample of different strengths and find it that way

vapours r us recommended percentages are mainly also 1-10% although the flavours ive tried are a bit hit and miss. the rhubarb for instance is very sharp and i need some sweetener with it @6%. as already suggested i would stick within the recommended levels first.
