Hello fellow vapers looking for a bit off advice on mixing salts I currently have 72mg nic salts that are 50/50 vg/pg got the pre mixed one. Now am planning on mixing in a 60ml bottle and looking to get a vape juice with a finished result off 18mg my problem is the calculators a find are for 72mg but then adding pg and vg separate and it’s confuse the hell out off me :17: so my questions are how much of the nic salts would I add to the 60ml to get 18mg when it’s already got the pg/vg in it and also what would be the best type of juice to add for a pod system I.e recommend am use vg summer blaze at the moment but buying the 10ml bottles suck thanks guys

Search google for “steam engine eliquid calculator”. It allows you to set vg/pg values for the nic, I think.

Cheers will have a look can you recommend a type off juice to mix with it like a vg or a pg still kind on new to it

A quarter of your mix needs to be nic, since 72 divided by 4 is 18.

Easier to have VG and PG separate I find, the mixed ratio bases always complicates things.

Here’s a link to the calculator. I just checked and right enough you can set vg/pg ratio for your nic.

You’d be best to get a bottle each of vg and pg. You put your desired strength and amount into the calculator along with the % of flavour concentrate you plan to add and it tells you how much nic, concentrate, vg and pg to mix. Have a look, it’s pretty simple once you get your head round it.

I think it depends, I tend to make 500ml bottles of 12mg 50/50 base and just use this to mix smaller bottles with <5% concentrate. It works well. Not so good if you are adding larger volume of concentrate, though.

3 parts 0mg to 1 part 72mg will be 18mg, so for 60ml you need 45ml of 0mg and 15ml of 72 mg

You don’t want or need ‘pure’ nic for mixing eliquid, it’ll always be in PG, VG or a combination. I just meant that I find the mixing calculations easier when it’s in one or the other, but I guess that’s just because I got used to doing it that way :)
