DIY Semi Mech Like iJust2

Hi everyone,

I'm looking to build my first custom in a carved wooden housing but I'd like the functionality to be similar to that of the iJust 2, little did I know I was setting myself such a difficult goal.

I've read a lot around the subject and would be comfortable making a mech or a mod, the iJust however is somewhat in between.

Essentially what I want is a simple single button and single led device device with low voltage cutoff, pass through charging and power of (i.e. 5 button presses).

I suspect I may need a microcontroller for this but I'm not 100%, and if so where can I get one. I've been trying to find details on the internals on the iJust but with no luck.


Any help would be awesome.

If that's what you want why not get an iJust 2 and butcher the guts out of it?

If I honest im a little reluctant to open it up as it has an internal bettery. Acid burns are a bitch.

It also, in my opinion at least, defeats the purpose of a diy device. I may as well just make a slip case for it.

If however there in no other way of achieving that functionality that's probably what I'll do.

You could make a normal mosfet mod, but instead of using just a switch use an ego board to control firing, that'll give you the five click on/off and low voltage protection.
