Hi, I'm new to the forum and new to mixing my own juice. Today I mixed 100ml of 70/30 VG with 1 10ml nicotine, 4ml menthol and 5ml vanilla concentrate. The menthol is really harsh so I'm guessing I added too much. Is it possible to dilute the 100ml juice in order to reduce how harsh the mix is? I can just about smoke it but it's not overly tasty. Can anyone help me out please.

are you sure its the menthol thats causing the harshness as this could be also caused by a gone off nic shot. with one shot your final strength will be 1.5mg. is that what you was after.
whenever mixing a new flavour its always worth trying mixing 10ml first so if its kak flavour your not wasting 100ml.

4 parts menthol to 5 parts vanilla custard sounds like an unusual mix. I'm not a big user of menthol to be honest, but I'm not surprised that it is quite hardcore at that level.
FWIW I would ditch that mix and try with mixing up a new 10ml bottle.
I'd try 1-2ml of vanilla custard and add the PG/VG to fill up to 10mi. Keep adding the vanilla custard to it until you have that flavour at the level you'd like it. Then try adding a couple of drops of menthol at a time until you're golden.
If you've got one, you could try dripping your mixes onto an RDA to save time.

Do you know the brand of Vanilla you used? (Capella, Flavours Apprentice, FlavourArt, Inawera etc)
From experience, its quite rare for Menthol to work well with majority Cream flavours, end up chemically. I only know of a couple that actually come out half reasonable.
5ml in 100ml is obviously 5%, that's a tad low for some Vanilla flavourings and a tad high for others so would depend on the brand.
4% Menthol is a tad high, unless you like it extra menthally (Is that a word?) but shouldn't make it overally harsh unless you are using something strong like Flavorah.
Your current mix is 1.8mg in Nic strengh, do you want to keep it at the same?
It is salvageable, not particularly difficult at all but would need some information on the brands etc.
