Just built my first coils with NiFe30 have tried to space them. Do they look ok

put them back on the rod and pull them apart as far as they will go then squeeze them together again and they should space perfectly

They are a bit inconsistent in the wrap. Try placing them back on the jig and whilst holding one end, fast, pull the other end with some pliers. Try this a couple of times, with each end, to see if you can make them a bit more even.

If you put them back on the rod & stretch them it'll even up the spacing. Then you can squeeze them up again & keep the spacing even. Hope that makes sense as it's easier to do than explain.

(added quote to bad first coil attempt I was responding to before you greatly improved your work)

I was going to ask about the lighting at the time of coiling but ignore my OCD

yeah stretch it and re-squish it, maybe fine scalpel or flat screwdriver to widen the tightly wound ends
stretch, re-squish a bit to even it up a bit, pull it tight with pliers, arrange legs to suit
(the coil legs, not your own)

I've made worse looking coils at my first attempt I'll admit but you soon get the hang of it

10x times better - I take back my previous post
think you knew it was originally a bit rough - well done a bit of care & attention goes a long way

very nice indeed

Thanks I'll stick em on RDA later and the tab mini to see what they come out at. Going for a curry and some beers.

Try getting your coil wraps close together. These a mine. Also while you’re fitting them in an RDA just give them a pinch as they glow.
