Hi folks,
I've been using Vision CE5s with 650mAh Biansi batteries for about two weeks and used to smoke about twenty rollup fags a day.
At first I used 12mg nic content which really didn't do it for me at all. No nicotine buzz or throat hit. It was like sucking on scented air! So,I stepped up to 18mg and initially felt more throat hit and a bit more of a nicotine buzz. Obviously vapour levels remained the same due to using the same e-cig kit and juice brand. I'm now experiencing the same situation again...that lack of satisfaction in the throat hit, vapour quantity and nicotine buzz departments and consequently I'm sucking on this thing like mad...I can't help but think that I'm burning through more juice than I should need to be. My juice usage is daft...easily 5-6mg a day. I just bought 100ml for £14,which is a great price indeed, but it's disappearing fast.
I'm currently vaping Safercigs' 18mg 70/30 Virginia Tobacco juice made by Hangsen. I was wondering whether anybody had experienced the same frustration of feeling that they weren't getting enough throat hit from a juice that at first seemed to have an appropriate nicotine content. I find myself often hitting the battery cut off point because my draws need to be long to feel any throat hit at all and in the mornings I drag on this baby like I'm trying to burn out my atomiser as fast as I humanly can. Taking loads of draws in quick succession results in less vapour because the wick can't get the juice into the chamber fast enough and the heat building up in the atomizer coil increases electrical resistance with every hit and so reduces efficiency. If I let it cool down a bit,the next hit is a little more satisfying. The difference I felt from stepping up the nicotine from 12mg to 18mg has all but gone. Is stepping up the nicotine content yet again going to bring an initial sense of satisfaction, only to fade within days? Have any of you folks out there experienced this or something similar?
A couple of people suggested I bought an iGo-l dripping atomiser and drip tip,and I really appreciate and take their points on that. That kit obviously has good results and is very popular within the vaping community. But despite being an electrician and being quite unintimidated by wire related things,I'm not sure I can really be bothered with the whole rebuildable thing yet. That's only going to work for me when there's a coffee table to hand. I can't really see myself dripping in liquid while I'm surrounded by plaster and brick dust during the day :-) I tried out a variable voltage eGo battery the other day, which let's you crank up the voltage to 4.8 volts. Admittedly, the vapour quantity improved but the throat hit didn't increase in line with the amount of extra vapour. So,what was the same when I tried the barttery out? The answer is the liquid and the atomiser.
Perhaps this brand of juice is very mild on the throat and there are others out there which are consistently stronger on the inhale? Perhaps a nicotine step up is required? Maybe a different type of non-rebuildable atomiser?
I don't know..........help,please! I sort of feel like I've hit a wall and I'm anxious to avoid throwing more money at expensive kit....at least for now ;-) I don't want to smoke another real fag again and my vaping dissatisfaction is leading me to temptation :-)
Cheers,
Tobes
