So I think I know what the basics are: you drip a couple of drops directly onto the atomizer.. Actually that's all I know, maybe a little more, so could someone give me an explanation on; what it is, what equipment is needed to drip, benefits and negatives, and any other need to know information.

Thanks :)

pretty easy.. you need a dripper.. these are ten a penny, some good some bad. some are single coil builds some dual coil but a basic great little starter would be an IGO L or IGO W. as for what it is.. basically a drip tip and belwo that a metal chamber that has positive and negative posts where your coil and wick goes.
you make your coil add a few drips and away ya go. benefits are lots and lots of taste, vapor and throat hit and easy to clean out dry burn and swap juices. they are simply the best and easiet way for trying different flavours without lots of hassle. equally though you can use them as your all day job with some drippers have a deep enough well to hold 20+ drips of liquid or enough for an hour or so vape. i pretty much only use a dripper at home now and its only when im out for an all dayer do i stick on my rsst tank

A dripper is a coil a wick and a small compartment that allows usually for 2-4 drops to be dripped in and vaped. Benefit is better flavour and you can adjust the resistant to your liking. cons you need to rebuild the coils need to have a ohm checker capability and it can be fiddly and you need to consider air control on the item. someone else might have more to add. brill when you get the hang of it ;)

A dripper is a great bit of kit. There are lots of types. It the next step after clearo's in my opinion..

Equipment to get started: Dripper, wick, kanthal/nicrome. Easy

Only downsides: Not so mobile, needs constant refilling.

+1 for IGO L or W and you can find many many videos on youtube to teach you how to coil and wick it you'll be micro coiling like a champ in no time.

Dripping/Drippers are so easy,I decided I needed find out what they were like.Unfortunately, this was at about 2 am when the shops were all closed,so I had a little think & remembered I had a little plastic "film cannister" type thing so dragged out the drill-bit box, quickly sorted a drill about the same size as a Kanger/Evod replacement head & without using the electric drill(too noisy at that hour)put a hole in one end of the cannister.I also had a few driptips left from old clearo's so again, sorted a drill-bit the same size & made a hole in the other end of the cannister.Result wasn't exactly durable but wasn't intending using it for long. With a few strands of silica draped over the Kanger head, added a couple drops of juice & screwed it on my battery, hit the fire button & was able to get a vape.It tasted awesome(even though it was a chocolate juice that tasted seriously rank in a proper atty)and within a few minutes,I had a room billowing with chocolate scented clouds.I now have a proper metal dripper, that I only use to test my home mixing skillz.
