Now first and foremost I hope I've put this in the right place- I know there's a concentrates review section but I figure a one shot is more of a juice review? I dunno. If I've put it in the wrong place feel free to move it [emoji4]
Anyway, ole @Dripworx - busy young man for the most part and his own unibase range grabs a fair bit of attention, as do his guest liquids, but his one shots? Not so much.
Back in April I bought 8 off him. Only two of the 8 flavours I'd tried as a pre made so it was a bit of experimentation on my part. But this is how I found 4 of them (the other 4 haven't been opened yet).
For transparency @Dripworx and me get along just dandy, but if I didn't like something I like and know him enough to tell him- which he himself knows.
All one shots were mixed at the recommend 20% with Darkstar 72mg VG nicotine and Darkstar VG giving me a final ratio of 80/20 VG/PG. Bottles are 100ml Ibottles HDPE affairs and as per usual all flavours were dripped.
All juices were between 11-13 weeks old when opened.
1: Double Dunk.
Used in a Goon 24mm (OG) with a pair of Ni80 fused claptons at .12. My sweet spot was 110w with Airflow wide open.
Thick, crunchy chocolate is what you get first. In bucket loads. It's very much a chocolate juice. But underneath there's a sweet, fried doughnut prickling your taste buds. This could be straight out of a Krispy Kreme shop, and all you're missing is the chew.
It was one of my favourite pre made juices before I went diy and it's one of my favourite one shots so far. If you like chocolate you should really try this.
2: Zest Appeal
Used in a Reload 1.5 with Dual SS316 single claptons at .18. My sweet spot is 85w with the airflow wide open.
A new one for me which I'd never tried before. Another doughnut too- I'm a sucker for a nice doughnut and always have been. I think on this one the doughnut stands out moreso, but with an almost sickly sweet lemon glaze. It's a little strange on toot 1,2 and 3, but then it starts to get its claws into you.
Again it's delicious. A proper fairground doughnut with a posh topping. I could ADV this. Again, highly recommended.
3: The Sinner
Used in a Devil RDA with dual Kanthal Flaptons at .13. My sweet spot is 115w with the airflow wide open.
This took some getting used to if I'm honest. I sat in my chair mulling this over for 30 minutes chain vaping it before I decided that I thought It was good.
It's cake and cream essentially, but the thick, gloopy cream pretty much jumps out of the atty and punches you in the back of the throat. Not just one creamy flavour though, it's layered. I don't know how many there are- I'm not that gifted in the taste department- but it's 3 plus for sure.
It makes for a very interesting evening vape. I couldn't ADV this, it's very rich and fairly sweet too, but as a treat vape? Yeah, it's a goodie for sure.
4: Teatime
Used in a Sith RDA with dual SS Flatwire build coming in at .08. My sweet spot for this is 105w with airflow wide open.
Cinnamon. I'm fussy with cinnamon. I like a cinnamon vape but it's a fine balance between not enough, too much and just right.
This is a cinnamon hot cross bun, but the cinnamon doesn't smack you round the chops, rather it pops up and gives you a little kiss on the cheek and tells you to enjoy the warm, currants and buns that are blasting round your mouth, because these are the two flavours that carry the cinnamon, not play second fiddle to it.
It was a surprise this. I didn't expect to like it as much as I did but again, it's a winner.
So that's (briefly) the first 4.
I'm enjoying them, and thoroughly looking forward to the next four. Also since I bought these the little bugger has released two more which I plan on trying.
At £9.49 for 30ml with frequent discounts offered, (keep your eyes peeled), and 20% mix ratios these are priced in a similar bracket to their peers and more at the upper end of what I pay for one shots.
However, they're well crafted, well rounded, well presented and are accomplished Flavours, and in my opinion are worth what equates to around £7 for each 100ml of liquid once you've added your other bits. So I'd recommend them.
It's likely that if the mood takes me you'll see a few other brand reviews pop up with the one shots at the rate I'm ploughing through them, so apologies in advance if it's not your thing [emoji16]
Thanks for getting this far.
And well done @Dripworx [emoji4]
