Recently finished this prototype after 3 or 4 months of sourcing all the parts.
Spec:
OKR T/6-W12-C 6A,30W step down converter.
500 ohm potentiometer + resistors to give 2 - 6V.
On board balanced charging - PCB protected battery cell for two 18650 batteries in series.
Top mounted LED voltmeter - 3 wire type so as to read below 3.4V!
Flush mounted 2.1mm charging socket in base for use with 8.4V charger
All contained within stout black anodised aluminium case.
A step-up in effort and cost but hopefully loads of power in reserve and better durability compared to my various homemade dual 18650 VV LM2596 tin mods. Time will tell whether the extra cost and effort making is worth it over my tin mods. Certainly, the experience of making it was.
Started vaping with this from Sunday evening and still going strong on the original charge. Liking this :dog:
