Just a quick micro coil dual build on the trusty kraken

2 x 9wraps @ 0.3 Kanthal micro coiled

I find it easier to wick with the glass removed, 2mm silica slides through with a tiny resistance and a bit of turning with the grain/threads.

Er, yeah I think it's firing. That is only an 80PG/20VG Juice too - chuckin out the vapour - sick as tits, 'n all that jazz

what resistance did you get with that build?

Good question :) I don't check them these days but I would hazard a guess and say 0.8-0.9 ohms

When I first did the dual coil on it I didn't like it, single coil silica and pluid was just awesome so that is what I have been running. I wanted to try a low ohm build with Colonel Custard though to see if it burned or changed flavour so going against my will to keep the old single in place I had a go. It's not bad, a bit warm but certainly not burning the taste

Nice one @Bunglehaze PlumeBlu I will give that a try on mine next.Looking at it now I was wondering if there would be any advantage to loop the wick through and up so you have one continuous wick? Who knows.

I did try a U wick and it was tremendously fiddly to be honest, with the kinks of the loop it didn't seem to wick anywhere near as well for me as two strands either. I reckon I might have to try some Voodoowool from stealthvape at some point on this too as the wicks only just keep up as it is.

I made a mesh u wick, very fiddly and wasn't keen on the taste, silica u wick was also fiddly and didn't seem to keep up my current set up is 2 microcoils and cotton and up to now I'm impressed

The only problem I have with cotton is feeding the wick through the deck when there is juice in the tank, ideally it needs to be done as in my photo's with the glass off, then filled and only replaced when the tank is empty again

I was faffing about with it for ages... then I realised I could just slide the tank off and grab the other end with tweezers... duh

lol, fiddly little sucker to do though aint it :)

I am interested too, which holes are you using to wick through? I just watched Verns review on YouTube and he is using different holes to me as I am feeding through the two closest together
