Well this morning my 2 day old Bagua Chi You clone seemed it didn't like its new home and decided to stop firing, completely.
No matter what atty or battery it has in it, it just will not fire. I'm pretty pissed off as a friend of mine stripped the threads on the other mech mod I have and another I've ordered off FT earlier in the month still hasn't been dispatched. So this is essentially my only one currently and I've not even had a full days vape out of it yet!

Anyway, I'm not sure what clone it is but it has these bottom and top caps. The problem I think I'm having is that somewhere between the top cap battery connection/insulator and the pin that sits underneath the atty, something isn't letting power pass through.
I'm thinking this because I cant really see how the bottom pin would be causing the issue as it looks to work pretty much flawlessly, it sits recessed in the insulator then rises to touch the battery when pressed.

You can see in the picture where I've butchered the insulator a little to try and get it off so I can at least see whats going on underneath, in order to attempt a fix on it but unfortunately that thing is stuck on pretty well.

Where the 510 fitting is, that pin is a free floating one that moves up n down to accommodate the atty, so my assumption is that something just inside there has either failed or moved preventing a secure connection.
Has anyone had this type of chi you clone before n had this problem? Or can anyone tell me how to get this fecking thing in bits so I can at least attempt a fix? I'm almost ready to throw in the towel with mech mods and put all this money I'm wasting on them towards a provari.

Well after more tinkering I removed the 510 pin and realised the problem is actually with the switch, so now I'm at a loss as to what the problem can be :/ after completely cleaning everything and putting it all back together it worked for 3 drags until it misfired again, but if the switch is making contact with the negative end of the battery why would it not fire?

silly one but are you sure the lock ring is right up,if this is anything like my version the throw is so short anything more than a fag paper would stop it connecting with battery

Try putting the battery in arse about face.

When you operate the switch, does it clear yhe insulator?

Grizzly Adams I'm sure of this, the switch can't reach the locking ring due to it hitting the battery first, I'd say of the overall distance between the locking ring and switch, it hits the battery at about half of that distance.
Motorheaded I'll try that shortly, it clears the insulator by a good amount, which is what I'm struggling to understand about why it won't fire!

I've found I can make it temporarily fire by pressing the switch and waggling it until it eventually fires, however once I've had a hit or finished pressing it the next press is a blank until I wobble the switch again. Any ideas?

Looking at the pic it looks like the pin on the 510 connector is sitting flush with the delrin, it could be that the 510 connection on your atty isn't depressing it far enough to make battery contact.

Can you adjust the 510 pin on your atty to make it longer?

Failing that it could be a case of winding out the adjustment on the switch to ensure the contact is being pushed out far enough.

Apologies if I'm stating the obvious or teaching you to suck eggs :)

Aha - then it's switch adjustment.

If it doesn't adjust then try a different battery? Even identical batteries can differ in length slightly.

or a bit of swarf under the fire button stopping it going in far enough for battery contact? push the button up and hold pin to undo button and give it a good clean out

I'm trying this but the pin is spinning and the switch isn't getting loose :/
