Eagle tank Coil HBC-S12/SSTC

Anyone having issues with this coil. Cannot get TC to work consistently on these coils on three different mods. All produce randomly burnt/dry hits. Latest being at 440 degrees at 30 watts so pretty low. Annoying as I bought a few boxes of them.

Similar problem reported here. SS eagle coil albeit a different code. Possibly too tightly wicked.
