Eeeee! MY russian 91% has arrived!

I'm new to rebuildables but I understand it's effectively s full blown kayfun clone, kayfun+ not the lite meaning it retains the adjustable air flow too which the lite does not (I believe!) I'm a rebuildable newbie it's just when I do anything I like to do my research and spend once, we've all fallen for the "i'll work my way up the ladder" thing and spent 100s before going for the one you suspected you should have chosen right from the off.

It's running now, just finished a microcoil and cotton setup and it's superb. I delayed getting into rebuilding for a few months after I was certain I wanted to and used that time to swat up on the options.

i think actually its the otehr way round. the lite and the lite plus have the airflow, the standard doesnt.. looking at Pbusardo's review. the lite+ also has an oring based filler screw which stops the leaking. The 91% has the airflow on the side and is angled unlike the kayfun where its on the bottom. also the russian has an adjustable self contained centre pin so you can turn it without affecting the pillars. the kayfun centre pin is attached to the pillars ( posts section) so the whole thing turns so in fact the russian has improved upon the original kayfun design in a couple of ways. side airflow and self contained centre pin.
thats why id rather get a russian than any of the listed FT ( or other places ) kayfun clones.

Yes like I say I researched and chose the russian, but there are that many makes, models and types I forget all the reasons why the decision was made. Unlike most this is literally my second rebuildable. I bought a cheap, second hand AGA-2 literally to make sure my short sausage fingers could physically rebuild one AND that I could be bothered to do it. Basically to see how much hassle it all was.

Total investment to that point (excluding flipping amazing GP PAPS) about £12 quid. I didn't mind wasting 12 qiud to discover I couldn't be arsed. That done I then didn't mind taking the plunge and buying the one I really wanted which after much lurking on here, YouTube videos of Todd, the American who likes to shout "FUCKING SICK!" and loads of forum reviews was the Russian.

All in all this forum was the most useful resource of the lot hence the de-lurk and participating.

It's ace BTW, and as this is my first attempt at a wick (cotton wool) and microcoil (@1.6ohm) on it, it can only improve!
