Its funny because it was never a problem in the early days for me but more and more ego/510 centre pins seem to do this?

It may prevent someone sending back an expensive bit of kit when there's a quick fix worth trying

I had the same problem with a chrome Lavatube 2.1, so it's a multi-device fix

Good to know, i wonder how many people have lost cash by simply replacing a battery when they didn't know such a simple fix.
