I have a parcel waiting from Vapers Emporium. Tonight I will mix my very first DIY Eliquid.:yahoo:

To say I'm excited is an understatement. Will post back here when I find out what happens, if I survive of course :D

Ok, so being the king of impatience.... I mixed a very small batch already. And I have mixed results and thoughts.

I used cheap shop bought VG. Waiting on delivery of some pharma grade stuff. I mixed flavors @20%.

Nic level, 12mg

100% VG Juice.

It vapes well, but after just a few goes, it leaves a sort of irritating feel in my mouth. Nothing really bad, just different than what I'm used too.

Any thoughts??

Just read the packages, flavors is pg based. So 20% is higher than I'm used too. Think that's all it is :)

Is your nic pg or vg based. That will add to the ratio as we'll.

Why there may be a funny taste...

Your liquid will need steeping anywhere between a few days and a maybe even 2 weeks depending on the concentrate your using.

I don't know what concentrates your using but there are the good, the great and the damn right awful. Takes a lot of experimenting to get to where you want to be.

My advice, make small batches 5ml or smaller, steep and test. Look for reviews for concentrates to give you some ideas of flavours you like.

Boots do 250ml of vg for around £1.50 it's called boots value glycerine. That's what I use, it's as good as any other.

funny ..i very nearly replied to your first post to remind you to steep..got sidetracked though.

Alot of stuff is pretty good in a couple of days,
anything involving custard however takes bloody ages...2 weeks minimum, and thats with fairly aggressive steeping, heat, coffee frothers, tops off.

Gave it 10 mins in a water bath and then I just filled an atty right away, tastes ok. Made 5ml so will mix more and steep it for a few days. Flavors are fruit, cranberry from pastry island and Swedish fish from perfumers apprentice. Really impressed with my first mix. Asda VG too lol. Cheers guys! I'll be sure to steep the next lot!

I'm not keen on the pastry island stuff that I've tried tbh, they all seem to have this funny sort of flavour to me, I know a lot of people use them though.

I heard that a few times tbh. But for 2 quid, 30 ml... Thought it would be good for base flavors whilst starting out. Seem ok though, will find out before long :)

I'm using a company called UKFlavour at the minute, there a sister company of BigJuice. I've been getting there Monkey Fart from them, it's fantastic. You don't need to add any sweeteners or anything like that there good to go as is. There cheesecake is also brilliant but needs a bit more biscuit flavour in there to balance it out, easy fixed with a preferred biscuity flavour added to it.

Check them out, they've got a huge range of concentrates.
