What's new

Erm.... Foamy?

gotta be the vg? ive not used this one but here good things. i always use boots. the bottles? i also use bottles from ft 30ml and have had no problems as you say the froth settles after an hour or so.
now i could be completely stupid here BUT was there any soap residue left on the whisk from the last use? just wondering if it had mixed and by the time you got to the third (clear) bottle it had washed itself in the other 2.
clutching at straws here i know.

Try heating the liquids with foam a little, this should thin the juices and help disperse the bubbles.

Thanks bob, no you're right, this kind of methodical thinking helps track down problems.

I actually did the ok one first and did the other two in tandem eg: nic in one, nic in the other, then PG, then VG, then flavouring etc.
I didn't use soap at any point, I use a clean glass of water for rinsing and a clean paper towel to wipe dry.

Chegs thanks, they just had half an hour in a warm bath (in the UltraSon) and the pic was taken after that.

It's an odd one for sure.

exactly how i clean mine but some folk may use soap liquid or such.
have you any of your old batch of vg left? to try a mix?
im thinking its got to be an addative you have used in the other 2 that you didnt use in the first one? or am i missing the point and they are all the same.

I'm at a loss to be honest, the 'ok' one had 3 flavours and ethyl maltol

The foamy ones had the usual nic, pg, vg and one flavour, that's it.

I don't have any Vape Inc VG left, only this CK stuff now. All I can do is remake them in different bottles and see if they come out different. Then if they're ok, remake them in the new bottles. I can't see where I could have done something wrong but you can never rule out user error ;)

It's my first problem when it's come to mixing juices.

I was doing a round of tester liquids last night, did my usual routine including whisking for a minute at the end. Normally this introduces a lot of air into the juice and it normally clears over the course of an hour or so and that's the end of it.

It's still foamy today, like it's got soap in it.

There are two factors that have changed, one is new plastic bottles from fasttech and the other is VG from classikool (which is widely used here from what I could tell prior to ordering). I rinsed the bottles from FT with plain water and gave them a good shake, they were dry before use.

It's an odd one, any ideas?

FWIW I had the same thing when I did a 100ml of 80%VG, all in glass and straight into a glass dropper bottle and it took 2 or 3 days for the foamy bubbles to fully dissipate. Perhaps it's simply that the VG is a bit of a more dense viscosity than what you normally use and is simply holding onto the trapped air more?

I found classikool to be a lot thicker than other VG I have used ..I don't whisk the stuff .so have not come across this myself

Thanks you two ;)

FWIW I redid the cap double choc and was even more careful than normal (my method's pretty bullet proof to be fair) and it's come out the same, a bit foamy. It's pretty opaque too.

It's probably the VG being thicker. It claims 99.9% purity, as does vape inc so it surprises me that they're different but I've only got a few month's experience in these things.

So is there anything I need to be aware of with this increased viscosity?

its not a new concentrate that you havent used before is it??

I've used it several times before but as part of a mix of other chocolates along with other bits n pieces (I like complicated recipes ;) )
First time I've tried it on its own.
