Evening apes. Right, where do I start. ok. I am currently running Escribe version 1.0.42 on my pc, all set up perfectly with my Lavabox. But this version of Escribe is on my wife's pc profile. When I switch to my pc profile, Escribe isn't there. No problem, i'll just download Escribe again. This is where it gets interesting. The version I download on to my profile has a service pack update. Problem with this is there seems to be tab's missing. Version 1.0.42 has the usual suspect's -

General, Theme, Screen, Materials, Mod, Research.

The service pack version only seems to have only the following -

General, Theme, Screen, Materials.

Can someone explain to me how you are suppose to apply setting to batteries for example when the Mod tab isn't there?

Got a Therion on the way so would like to get to the bottom of this soon.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nae fkin need for aw this shite....5 clicks on...and vape.

Edit : I live in a small village..we like to keep thing simple:)

same thing pissed me off when I updated to:D

Are their any obvious benefits to the upgrade plz bud?

If new version is just changing the layout of everything and nothing else, might just stick with the version I'm familiar with, or does new Escribe come with firmware updates as well plz?

was quite a while ago when I did it, my device needed an update. The updated software has support for all the boards, 60,75,200,250. Doesn't change the layout much, you would just need to enable the setting I mentioned above, for full settings
If you downloaded the software recently it should be this one

there are a few changes, better accuracy with ss apparently, couplr other small things

Kk, thanks :). I use Steamengine SS TFR not Evolv's anyway. Will check out Evolv's new one though. From long and bitter experience with software, I tend to wait when new software updates are issued lol ;). Find out if any nasty bugs or glitches have been added that can be avoided if possible, especially if the update isn't critical or essential. My DNA's are all operating perfectly, so not in a hurry to make updates if it isn't absolutely essential ;).

Sounds like they've made the mod tab harder to view which makes no sense at all?? Out of all of the tabs, that's the one most people need to sort out first to set up batteries etc. What on earth possessed them to do that I wonder?? Or, will that question be answered when I update lol??

Has it got anything to do with the Efusion Duo business?

that's it, if your fine with what you have then your golden, you would need it if you have a dna75 or one of the newer 60 or 250 boards. No idea why the tab is hidden really, pain in the arse
what was up with the duo? no probs with mine
