Evic VTC Mini Upgrade

I see there's a new firmware upgrade for the VTC Mini - now V5.04. I installed it but hated the new interface, which I find much harder to read. Although the new variable preheat would be nice, I've gone back to V3.03, which is much clearer to my elderly eyes.

@E3Nomad if you get v3.04 you get the benefit of pre-heat and keep the old screen at up. Must say I agree the new screen is carp!

Brilliant! Didn't see 3.04 when I downloaded 5.04 - added since maybe? I did leave comment on their site and if others have done the same, it would seem they're listening to us!

Dunno what's up with the upgrade software ... the Mac versions seem erratic at best, to the extent that I find it easier to emulate Windoze on my MacBook and update without difficulty.

Do these mods still have trouble accepting certain tanks?

@bidley the 510 on most Eleaf/Joyetech/wismec mods are a little short so some tanks/droppers don't sit flush, a 510 gasket from steathvape fixes this issue (and reduces the risk of atty rash)

I made the mistake of putting the updated firmware on my wismec rx75 last night... it's crap compared to the old firmware and worse still the older firmware isn't available for download. I've contacted them asking them to make it available but of course China is on holiday all week

Installed 3.04 on mine and it seems to be working well.
Using my serpent mini @ 240c 30Watts with 35Watt preheat for 0.5secs.
What settings are everyone else using?
