In answer to Mr Whippy's suggestion, one has yet to check, but one purchased two of the things and the same problem occurs in both.
Since ones earlier posting, both have been discharging fluids (snigger) into the battery and ones mouth again.

Remove the rubber off the head and pull the center post out and you will see a bit of extra wick on top of the coil, remove it and replace with a 3mm bit of wick, this stops gurgling

This is the only way I can get on with the evod, do as I do and they are flawless

Mark, I can't see the pics of the coils you posted (post #5 ) - just the paperclip saying there's an attachment. Am I thicker than I thought or have you removed them? Reason I ask is that I recently bought two evods and although I agree they're in a class of their own, I had exactly the same problems you describe as regards leaking. Being slightly more clotted than your average carton of cream, I reckon the pics would make everything clearer for me.

Glad you mentioned this. For reasons beyond me old uploaded pics often seem to 'expire' in this way. No idea why, they are my own. Weird.
