Exciting and challenging role within a rapidly expanding group of companies focusing on the vaping industry and ecommerce.
Vape Club (www.vapeclub.co.uk) and associated companies are market leaders in the UK vaping industry. The group operates a number of ecommerce, distribution and consumer facing brand websites with combined revenues of over £25M per year. We are looking for a Copywriter to join our expert team of developers, SEO experts, copywriters and designers to deliver consumer and business facing websites.
Based in Watford, near Watford Metropolitan station, Vape Club is run by agile, forward thinking entrepreneurs who have a wealth of success in online retail and brand development.
The successful candidate will take part in the development across a range of new and existing website projects for the group. You will work in a dynamic, fast paced, agile environment, with plenty of opportunity for personal development, gaining valuable insight into how ecommerce operates and how to succeed in the space. You will need to have impeccable attention to detail and most importantly the candidate must have the passion in this field of work and look to constantly improve their skills.
This is a full-time role (40 hours per week, Monday-Friday). Remote / Hybrid working may be considered for the right candidate dependent on location.
Job Description: Digital/eCommerce Copywriter
● Create and consistently improve website copy across all pages.
● Review current website copy to identify areas for improvements.
● Product content creation and management - supporting and liaising with purchasing and marketing teams to ensure product content is correct, up-to-date, and focuses on key USP’s.
● Ensure all website copy is SEO optimised to current best practices and in-house standards.
● Producing and planning new website, social media and blog content, that is aligned to trending search terms, product launches and category innovations.
● Working with the brand team to support copy for campaigns to be used across all marketing channels.
About You
● You’ll be an expert in balancing engaging copy and rich content, with commercial goals.
● Good understanding of current SEO best practices, and the role content plays to support this.
● You have the ability to switch between writing styles and tone of voice easily, and effectively.
● You are a great storyteller with a talent for engaging the customer, and delivering factual information in an easily digestible format.
● You are proactive, with a customer first mentality.
● An understanding of vaping would be advantageous, but not essential.
● Have demonstrable experience in copywriting for eCommerce
