A couple of things for those awaiting arrival of Ftechs TF "replacement".
I've received one, and "all is good", excellent build quality,no swarf, no nasty sharp edges.
Air Flow Control - The largest air hole is the same size as the single air hole on their previous TF's. Airflow, regardless of external hole diameter, is still restricted by the diameter of the deck air tube.
This means that any "tweaks" that you did with the previous TF's to get the draw that you like ( ie, removing airtube, airtube sleeve, or both) will still have to be performed with this version.
Other than that, this "new version" appears to be of better quality, over all, than previous versions, and you get three tanks (SS, PMMA, and half and half), and, if for some reason, you're after an even tighter draw than previous versions, you can, so all is good in logo-less land.
ps. The "beauty ring", that sit's above the air flow control ring, is shelved to fit, so it has a right and wrong way up.
pps. **** Air tube on the deck does NOT appear to be removable, so scrap all of the above (if you find that it is, indeed, removable, please let me know!) However, the deck airtube does seem slightly larger, and will give a nice airy draw, when combined with the largest external hole.
ppps. If, like me, you relied on the slotty bit logo, as a guide to correct height, you are now fooked!
another ps. This has been an arse to get the juice wicking well. I had to, by trial and error, back off the chamber top cap (slotty bit cap) bit by bit, until a good juice flow was achieved.
