Fasttech hana dna 50w clone + subtank

I received this yesterday and first off I love it. Comfortable and seems well built.

First thing I have to mention is I managed to get dry hits off the stock .50 ohm coil with the subtank so have changed it out for the 1.2ohm and all seems to be going ok. Apart from...
The hana reads it at .90 ohms. I know there can be some varience in pre made coils but can I expect that much? If I keep vaping with it at resistance will I do any damage?

Why would my .50 coil die that quickly?

Any help and advice would be great.

if the subtank came from ft then its probably fake even though it say`a authentic on the site

Have actually checked the authenticity code and it is genuine and it did come from ft.

Don't be surprised if the hana's reading is out, add that to the fact that the coil may be slightly out and you potentially have your answer. I had a ft hana v3 30w and it would read at least .2. Are you able to test the atty on another mod?

I agree, I have bought Aspire coils in the past, supposedly rated at 1.6 ohms and had some of them come to over 1.7 on an ohmmeter, and read 1.8 ohms on a mod

A dry hit does not mean the coil is dead, maybe it was not properly wicked to start, BUT having said that you can get dead coils from the factory and may have just been unlucky.

I also have the hana 50 clone (evolve DNA) and your readings sound about right compared to mine. My coil in the rose I am using at the moment reads 1.0 on my meter but 0.7 on the hana. It is a very minor niggle but it doesn't bother me too much. It is a great fu####g clone though!
