What's new

Fasttech start up!

Fasttech is out the window, gonna do everything locally.. For the sake of a few quid more i dont mind

And Thanks guys for the replies and after much decisiveness decided for the tugboat clone dripper... Shoutout to EmbraSewerRat for that suggestion :goodjob:

Now just need to decide between the stingray x clone or nemesis mod!!! Or if you guys have any suggestions, as said before first time dripper so any help appreciated.

Then all I've got to do is work out how to set it up and actually build the thing and understand all this ohm business and different wicks, cotton and coils... Gonna be emotional!!!

Well you have the most vital thing sorted, you have your MVP for checking the resistance of your coils and making sure there are no shorts.

You are also going to need kanthal. I recommend a range of sizes as it makes it easier to find your happy place. I would suggest 0.25mm, 0.3mm, 0.35mm and 0.4mm

For wick organic cottonwool is good, or some of the Japanese cotton pads that are currently popular.

You can pick up both of these at either the Vape Mesh Company or Stealthvape. My personal preference is Vape Mesh Co. because their small amounts of kanthal are on reels not cards which eliminates the problem of kinks, however I think Stealthvape might be slightly cheaper at the moment because they have a free muji offer.

What is the problem of kinks exactly, Diche?
Hot/cold spots ... or a PITA because you have to unkink the bends before annealing ... not a Ray Davis fan ... or prefer sex in the dark, under covers?

I often don't bother annealing the thicker grades of wire. They coil just fine without, provided they haven't been bent all out of shape. If they are folded not only do you have to anneal them, but you have to faff with them as you do so in order to straighten them out otherwise the coils never lie together quite right.

You might consider the Kargada for just under £50. It's an original and I have the other one in the set, the 26650 Novus which is stunning and this looks even better. Code summer50 will get you 50% off:

Just on the Stingray front. I have:

Works great! But it doesn't stay that colour for very long! Mine is about 4 months old and now looks like:

It went Copper > Silver > Brass

Still works fine though!
