My wife decided I had to decorate the front room, this involves a new ceiling, new walls, getting it plastered, painting and a new carpet.
I have had no time to do anything other than this bloody DIY job for the last couple of weeks. Not even time for any computer gaming lol.

I am so fed up with it after getting the ceiling painted today, I was chatting with Panter and it made me decide to be creative and so for your viewing pleasure, I would like to present to you my labour of this evening:

The blade atomizer stand v1.0.

Looks superb! is it Mahogany?

I think you should do a quick how-to guide for us DIY numpties!

Looks lovely blademansw does the wife appreciate you taking time out from your little decorating task to do something useful for you?

Im waiting for me bro to make mine, he in turn is waiting for me to decide how many mods / attys / batteries / sizes i "need" before he will start it :umm:

She was actually quite impressed, the other day she said "why don't you get a stand for those, instead of that shitty plastic box", so I saved money by making it (here I come paps clone & heron clone...)

I went for 6, as I thought that covered enough for now, I have another chunk of mahogany if I need to make another one, plus there is room for a couple of clearos, and allen keys and mini screwdrivers!

Don't want to derail your thread, but, those drill thingies you linked to look like medieval torturing devices.
Are they easy for the DIY numpty to use? or would that result in an electric baseball bat leaping around the front room as soon as drill meets timber?

They are best used in a drill press, but if you are doing it with a hand drill, use this tip to stop wanderage
