What's new

Felicitations!

If I'm honest, I've always been a bit wary of the K1000 Plus as I don't tend to like mods that you have to charge by USB - I much prefer to carry a spare battery and swop over. I'm also not sure how the power regulation will work ... as there are some electronics in the Plus. However, it's a very good looking e-pipe .... I decided that I'd try to strip out the workings and turn it back into a mech like the originals if I don't like how it vapes! :D

Do you think a k3 mini would fit on it?

Kayfun 3 Mini as opposed to Aspire K3? I'm assuming yes, and I am very much hoping it will, as I have a nice silver one with an all-metal tank sitting unoccupied ...... I'll let you know! The KF3 Mini is a lovely shape for e-pipes. :)

Aye, kayfun3. I have one I never use, was just thinking if I do ever get an e-pipe it might be a good match.

Hello and welcome @theDuke :)

Yes, as @Rob says I loved the Kamry K1000 e-pipes and still have 5 of them ....... though I don't use them so much these days due to the fact that the 18350 batteries that run them don't last all that long. I do still use a Smok Guardian 3 as it takes an 18650 and also has a screen, fundtionally it's great ....... but it's not exactly elegant, weighs a ton and looks like a shower head! :D

I've kept hold of the Kamry K1000s as I loved them and always hoped someone would bring out better batteries in that size ... and it does look as though Aspire may have done so - I'm about to investigate. Like most e-pipes that I started with, the K1000 is a mech, but later editions always came with a chip insert to protect against short-circuits and battery overheating. There's lots of info here, and I have bought from this site - not the cheapest but a trustworthy seller and a mine of useful info:

https://www.petershampipes.co.uk/kamry-k1000-e-pipe-guide/

Funnily enough, I've just ordered the Kamry K1000 Plus from China - I'll post thoughts when I get it. I always did dump the tanks these e-pipes came with and put my own on, either rebuildable or a good stock coil MTL tank like the original Nautilus Mini (great size for an e-pipe).

That should keep you busy for a bit, but if you need anything just shout! :D

Hi Crewella! :)

I might give a Kamry Plus a go...one can't argue with Heath Cabins prices at the moment, maybe order a Naut mini for it..I wonder if my Naut 2 coils will work in it? Certainly would keep everything simple, using consumables from the same manufacturer. Be interesting to learn what those new Aspire Batteries are like.

Regarding the Smok Guardian 3..I must confess I don't particularly like how it looks, hence why I was looking at the epuffer 629. Did you get one of these? If so, I'd be interested in what you think of them. Not cheap...and they are a mech mod...but they look like a proper pipe! I've heard conflicting opinions on them, and since they're not cheap...I've not bought one....yet.

Still waiting for the first coil to go in the Naut. 2 tank, it's been 2 & half weeks so far, how long do the .7s typically last I wonder? I must admit, yesterday I was feeling light headed for some reason, but I had switched to a 40/60VG mix @ 9mgs.....I'm wondering if the thicker solution carries the nicotine better into the lungs than the 50/50 mix....and that I should perhaps drop it down to 6mgs or less. Certainly making me feel weird @ 9mgs!

Hi @theDuke , welcome to the forum! I’ve been thinking about an e-pipe as well, I’m waiting to hear what @Crewella has to say about this kamry plus.

If you like the mtl style, you’ll no doubt get into rebuildable tanks at some point, theee are limited stock coil rank but quite a few very good rebuildable ones. It’s not hard to build coils and the experience most people would probably agree is better (maybe partly because there’s more choice there). But if that’s the way for you you’ll find yourself going that way in good time, I’m sure.

Nice one getting off the fags. That’s nearly a year and a half for me and I’ve honestly not felt better in years.

Hiya Zouzounaki,

Thank you......yes I can feel the benefits already, my breathing has been getting better, since I cut down the numbers of cigs from 20 to 1 or 2, over the last 3 weeks or so, and have now stopped completely. I certainly won't miss the smell of them anyway! :D

As a newbie and one that is using replaceable coils currently, I curious as to what the advantage of rebuildable coils are. The replaceable ones are cheap enough as they are. My Nautilus 2 is still on the first coil & I've been using that tank everyday since the 12th Feb! Still no sign of it burning out yet!

As an recent ex smoker, it made sense to stick with a tank that replicated smoking as close as possible...so whilst I am interested in trying a DTL tank at some point...I'm happy to stick with MTLs for now.....if it keeps me of the fags...then I'm happy & no doubt my bank balance even happier! ;)

The aspire batteries are very good indeed as I understand. A full day's vape as long as your not caining it is the norm with a nautilus. The little aspire bvc coils are very good for mtl too. I've used them in a silo tank before and they offer up an excellent vape.
Either way you should have fun. If you haven't already check out manabush or indigene liquids for tobacco blends. Indigene tamahaak should sit very well with an ex pipe smoker and as its 50/50 you will have no problems with your tank choices.

I'm on week four on and off with my 0.7 coil in the Nautilus 2.No sign of it packing up yet and I use it every day with sweet liquids.

Aye the batteries in both my Aspire mods are great....I get at least two clear days out of the smaller Zelos...and the Typhon....well that just keeps on going that one! I've only charged that one twice in a week and a half since i started using it, and that's only from around half charged batteries. I don't chain vape & the wattage is set at sensible levels, around 22-25 watts with both mods.

I was never a pipe smoker, just interested in getting a pipe at some point, but I shall be checking out Manabush juices in due course, I've some Halos to use up first. i'm thinking of giving Vampire Vapes the boot..they seem to be too harsh for my liking...I'm looking a smoother vape.

I ought to ask this on general queries thread...but can't be arsed to look this up....does naybody know if there is an extension kit for the Nautilus 2 tank? I've already got one for the N X tank, which despite being a genuine part, it doesn't fit properly..it's too loose...I'm wondering if I can get a slightly thicker base seal for that one.

Just asking around.

They're pretty impressive aren't they! I like the typical newbie, bought several packets of replacement coils, thinking i'd be changing them every week....at this rate..I won't need anymore till next Autumn! :grin2:

I've not yet experienced the burning out of a coil and as I'm trying different mixes at the moment...there's a good chance I probably won't notice! :imstupid

lol!
