Hey guys,

I got the Nimbus clone today and this build is probably my third build that has any decent vapour production. I'm using Silica wick ... 2mm and .20 kanthal with around 6 wraps. Problom is, vapour production is only decent in the sense its similar to an EVOD etc ... What can I do to get good clouds without sub ohms? 6 wraps is coming in at 3 ohms! using 9 watts power. Anyway, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Silica frayed a lot when trying to tuck under coil and im using Mrs B Vanilla Custard.

Again, all replies/suggestions greatly appreciated.

You don't have some 28 gauge wire ? I've never used 20, also what kinda battery do you have if I may ask... That should be the first step to safety

its actually 32 gauge or .2 mmm I'm using it on my Vamo just until I get more experience in building. With short circuit protection, cant go wrong :)

Oooooh thought you were on a mechanical, have you looked into micro coils? I'm sure someone here could help you more since I've never owned a VV mod. Sorry

the first thing is do get the ohms down, your looking for half what you got as a starting point. Maybe a micro coil as your getting 3ohms from 6 wraps, so th get 1.5 with the coiling you got now your only looking at 3 wraps. try 4 wraps but coil a little tighter ? there are loads of videos on the micro coil, look some up and maybe get some .25 or .3 kanthal with your next order. The other thing i find helps is to try and move the coil "up" so its not below the air hole, make sure the coil the same or higher then the air hole.

jeffhds covered it well mate. Also alot of people dont aline air hole with the wrap its self make sure u have :) simple but so many noobs miss it.
