Hey :)

Done my first build on the subtank rba. Comes out 0.7 on 22 watts and the flavour just isn't as good as I expected...quite muted. I think I've done a microcoil? But was wondering if a spaced one would produce more flavour

The Subtank isn't a great flavour tank, though it's as good as any sub-ohm tank. With the manufacturers upping their game with pre-made coils it's become difficult to match them with a single coil build, particularly if your juice is best at high wattages.

Spaced coils may improve the flavour, and you could also try twisted or Claptons. You can even dual-coil that deck, which for me, provides the greatest improvement.

I Shall give twisted a go...Thank you :) don't think I'm up to duals quite yet

I wasn't a fan on my subtank mini until I made a twisted 28awg, 6wraps on the little blue dude is at 0.84 25w and its lovley, dense vapour, full of flavour and pretty cool blueberry yogurt vape.

With a Kanger Subtank I've settled on a 0.5/6 ohm spaced coil, 0.5mm thick kanthal, think it's 3mm diameter, can't remember, but at around 30watts. Got more from that build in there than anything else but not tried any twisted in it tbh.

ive found spaced coils better than non spaced coils in the subtank but as has already been mentioned its not the best tank flavour wise imo

Cheers for all the suggestions guys. I'll have to get practising my twists and spaces lol.

As long as I get some flavour I'm not fussy atm I'm getting hardly anything

I used one of those a while back, destroyed it trying to drill bigger juice holes into the RBA deck though. I found that a slightly smaller coil with 26 gauge tasted better but I couldn't chain vape on it too fast as it just couldn't pull the juice through fast enough. I dumped it after killing the RBA and got a Zephyrus. The Bellus is better to build on but a lot noisier.

Weirdly just bought both those tanks. Looking at the dual coil and decks though I'm too scared to build on them!
