This should have been finished months ago, but I was able to show it off at the meet on Saturday. A very old (80 years?) Coleman's Mustard Powder tin, from back when they used to have metal lids rather than plastic. 75x50x35mm. It's been knocking around the toolboxes and workshops of three generations (used to be in my grandfather's workshop, at one time), holding nails and such - and now I've totally ruined it.
I bought a cheapo single bay battery charger from Fasttech and cut away what I didn't need - which was very nearly all of it - and embedded the spring battery trap into the inner box, so it only takes one battery, but it will take any battery from 14500 or 18350, up to 26650. At least, I trust that it will; I don't actually have any 26650s yet, so I used a piece of 26mm steel tube as a dummy. It was going to have a VV/VW board, but I'm quite liking the simplicity of it as it is. There's room to retrofit a DNA20/30 if I feel the need, later on...
