So i have a vv pulse on its waysnd it is my first non regulated device.
What do i need to know to keep safe?
I know the basics like dont build lower than your bsttery can handle.
But im not sure about other things like is it ok to run the battery to empty like on a regulated?

Regulated mods don't let you empty your bats. They cut off well before that. You can over discharge a battery on a mech as there's nothing cutting of the circuit if you keep discharging them. However, you will notice. If you keep your builds safe, the vaping will become noticeably unsatisfying before it becomes dangerous. Just keep it sensible and notice your charger to check the voltage left when you put your batteries to charge. It quickly becomes very instinctive. You're looking at 3.6/3.7 before it's too low too vape and needs a refill.

check your atty for shorts before putting on,
if you are building low and close to the amp limits of your cell make sure your ohm reader is deadly accurate, the difference between 0.2 ohms and 0.15 ohms is 7amps at 4.2v.

As mentioned always build your coils on a tester, and always put the atty cap on and test on the tester in case of shorts coming from bits of coil not trimmed neatly and touching the atty cap creating a short. Remember your coil tester is your best mate. [emoji6]

I have had my manta for a month i think and i am pretty confidient with building.

all so every time you put a battery in check it look at the wrap to make sure there is no nicks or tears in it if so do not use it untill its re wraped when you have finished using the mod take the battery out never leave it in just good safety practice all so once aweek clean it a clean mech mod is a happy mec mod remember unlike a regulated you cant adjust the watts the resistance of the coil determineds the watts the battery uses play on steam engine and read up on omhs law and enjoy old boy :2thumbsup:
