What's new

First mod question

The Segelei Zmax is a lovely bit of kit and when I am not testing other kit is used by me all the time (don`t get the Smok zmax though as the outputs can be shall we say... interesting I have found), comparison wise would say the Segelei Zmax = windows XP / Windows 7 for doing what it`s supposed to, where-as the Smok version imho = windows ME (I cannot type the words to describe that tbh).

I have not had a Vamo to compare against it but the vast majority of users here love em.

The Tesla is a another excellent bit of kit and again is used by me all the time (I always take 2 devices out and about) when I am not testing stuff, some peeps though will not like the shape or vents in the device, it`s a Marmite unit, you either love it or hate it :).

As for Alba vapours, I have used them a few times and found them to be yet another example of a good Vendor, with excellent customer service & products

Having seen the S ZMax, aesthetically it's a shed load nicer than the Vamo.
Cannot comment on the internal build and although you see a few dead Vamos being moaned about there are probably 10+ Vamos on the market to every ZMax so you expect to hear of failures more often.

Batteries and chargers can add to the price big time - Just make sure you get batteries that work in the zmax as each battery seems to be a slightly different design and fit in all mods. Buying a kit is easier and gives you a running piece of kit so often worth considering while you save up for some batteries and charger (at which point you end up with spare batteries and charger too)

If I had the cash and was on the market for a new mod, the Siegeli ZMax it would be.

Was gonna get a vamo from vapertrain but was a ss one. He doesn't have them or would be sorted by now. What's the chrome like whipitup ?

I have the Segelei.......SS only.

Personally, the Vamo has had to many "issues" for me and the small extra cost of the Segelei was worth it.

I know there has probably been a LOT more Vamo's sold, but the Segelei seems to be a lot better put togther.

I bought a SMOK ZMax V2 from Ace Vapers and it has been very well behaved, in fairness. The first thing I did was check the outputs, and they were good and, fingers crossed, have stayed good. I may have got lucky, of course. It was my first VW mod, and has showed me the nice results VW can give.

I am thinking of getting a second one as a back up, and will probably go for the Siegele one, as the reports are good.

The stainless steel version is very nicely built - all robust and quality!
I had a dark chrome Smoke Vmax , and the finish started to wear off within a couple of weeks, so I would always go for a stainless steel version of whatever mod I was contemplating buying from now on, if stainless steel is an option.

Cheers! Lee :D

Is it specifically the SS one you are after? As this appears to be in stock

Tis body only though so a lot depends how much you wanted to spend.

I had a chrome one, for just over £30 the pluses are definitely there, but the build quality is questionable, which is not a complaint I've heard of the Zmax

Yeah ss only I'm afraid. I've seen how chrome can turn out after a while.
