Hi folks. After much pondering I've decided to dabble with an RTA. The device I will be using is a Russian 91% and a Vamo. So far so good. My available build materials are 3mm silica wick, and Kanthal of 32 AWG and 28 AWG. So, here I am double checking with you guys before I make a start.
Question - Am I correct in thinking that it will be easier for me to achieve a 2 ohm (+/- a smidgin) coil, which, I feel will be more suitable with a vamo variable volt/watt device using the 32 AWG wire rather than the 28? Bearing in mind that the wick will be 3mm, doubled, and I wish to do a simple basic build?
Many thanks in advance for those that give me a 'leg up'
Cheers folks.

In a 91% I'd go for a micro coil with cotton wool.

Loads of videos on line showing how to do this - it just works well.

But to answer your question, the ohms you get will depend on many things, but mainly the number of wraps you do.

At least with the Vamo you can check each build.

Have a play, see what happens. Me, I'd use the 32AWG and wrap it four times. Should be OK.

Good luck

Thanks for the input brighton guzzi. I've checked a load of youtube micro coil vids, and the builds all look pretty simple and achievable, so that may be a way forward for me, once I get used to the dynamics and foibles of the 91%, and of course, treated myself to an el cheapo fleabay butane blowtorch and a decent pair of tweezers.
