Hi all, only been into 'proper' vaping for a couple of weeks and until yesterday had only owned standard eGo batteries. Now I've got an eGo Twist 3.3v-4.8v. I am using EVODs and have got 6 different coils, some of which came with the EVODs and some I have coiled myself. I don't have an ohm tester so I have made coils with between 4 and 6 wraps all with 0.20mm nichrome wire and 2mm wick. Now I'm still experimenting to find which combo of coil/voltage I prefer. So far my finding are as follows - 3.3v, lots of flavour but takes too long to get enough vapour/throat hit. 3.5/3.8, noticeably less flavour than my standard eGo and slightly less vapour. 4.0-4.8, more vapour as voltage increases but even at 4v get a horrible burnt taste. Now, assuming that my findings are normal (I'm sure you will let me know if they don't sound right!) my concern is that I actually prefer vaping with my standard batteries. I thought the idea was that going for vv was going to be an upgrade to standard. Basically what I'm after is the flavour I get at 3.3, but with the throat and vapour I get at 4.0. Am I doing something wrong? Or is there anything I should do differently? Am I expecting too much from a lower end device? Any advice very welcome. I was happy with my setup before the Twist but as like many people I am just after more!
