Hi all first time DIY

I made 3 10ml bottles of juice this morning and been giving the bottles a shake on and off all day
But 1 of them (blackjack) don't seem to be mixing. Once it settles i can see 2 layers like its separated also when shaking it, it looks oily. The other 2 i made look fine.

I used the kit i got from vampire vape the nic is 72mg PG base. I used the Ejuice me up program and the recipe was
Nic 1.53ml
PG 0.47ml
VG 6ml
flavour 2ml
All 3 bottles are (should be) 11mg 60/40 VG with 20% flavour i even gave them a few warm water baths to try and help them mix. I tried the heisenberg and ice menthol and the flavour was there but only just same as the blueberry i made last night at 15% flavour.

Any ideas on how to get the blackjack to mix? does the Ejuice me up recipe look ok?
Thanks

I had exactly the same thing with Vampire Vapes Blackjack concentrate, never did work out why it did it, even tried different pg and vg brands at different ratios and it still did it. I tried putting a drop into a bowl of water to see if there was any oil in it but it didn't bead up like you'd expect oil to, just disappeared as it should. I did vape it after proving it enough to myself that there was no oil in it and as long as you give it a good shake before filling the tank and give the atty a good shaking if it's been sitting for a while it actually tasted ok, wouldn't buy it again though.

I'm only a couple of litres max of DIY juice down the road than you sport but I mix stuff of different viscosities at work all the time and I reckon that needs a good whoop with a drinks frother or a cake mixer (little extreme for 10ml but will do the job) then it should blend much nicer much quicker.

Shakey shakey will also eventually work as I understand it but it's the long road round to where you want to be IMHO.

When you mix 100ml of something at a time it looks like a liquid layer cake I can't imagine how long that would take to blend with the shakey shakey method. VG is thick, PG is thin. Give it a mechanical whooping and it turns into an even consistency and even colour within 30seconds

You can pick up a drinks frother from most stores that have loads of plastic boxes, brooms and buckets outside, or other independent high street hardware/knick knacks stores.

Once you find flavours you like and you want to start knocking-up 30ml or more at a time of the same flavour, seriously, get the cake mixer on it! It works!

..it'll go a milky-schpunky colour with all the bubbles but they'll settle quick enough ;)

Yeah it did, I gave it a blast for about 10 minutes while the juice was warm then put it in the cupboard to rest.
Checked it this morning and its separated again :6:

I wouldn't vape anything that separated into layers, even after being shaken frequently and steeped. It would go straight down the sink. But that's just me. I don't know anything about the concentrates that you've used.

If your mean my 'liquid layer cake' description what I meant to describe was what it looks like immediately after each ingredient PG, VG, Base etc is added ready for mixing (to, in my case, a drinks glass). The different viscosity of each, as it's added, sits on top of the previous liquid. Then I cake-mixer the bejesus out of it and it's a nice even consistency and colour throughout.

As for what's happening to the OP's 10ml that would appear to be just wrong I'm wondering if it has oil in it but I don't know and I'm not best qualified to guess, but I do know from experience that the flavour concentrates are the most unstable component of eliquid and the most likely to go bad, wrong or otherwise shite. Whatever type of wrongness it is I reckon that concentrate is for the plug hole. Quite a common occourence for me in my short few months of DIY and using different vendors. Also common in my relatively limited experience is the vendor denying any responsibility....

Is the concentrate wholey Mono Propylene Glycol based? (could be worth asking them if your not sure)
