Flavour Separating?

If your mean my 'liquid layer cake' description what I meant to describe was what it looks like immediately after each ingredient PG, VG, Base etc is added ready for mixing (to, in my case, a drinks glass). The different viscosity of each, as it's added, sits on top of the previous liquid. Then I cake-mixer the bejesus out of it and it's a nice even consistency and colour throughout.

As for what's happening to the OP's 10ml that would appear to be just wrong I'm wondering if it has oil in it but I don't know and I'm not best qualified to guess, but I do know from experience that the flavour concentrates are the most unstable component of eliquid and the most likely to go bad, wrong or otherwise shite. Whatever type of wrongness it is I reckon that concentrate is for the plug hole. Quite a common occourence for me in my short few months of DIY and using different vendors. Also common in my relatively limited experience is the vendor denying any responsibility....

What I meant was that I wouldn't vape a liquid that separated into layers again, even after lots of shaking and steeping.

I just put 1 drop of the blackjack concentrate in a glass of water and the droplet sank pretty quick to the bottom and stayed there in a sphere. After a second a film started to appear on the surface. Havent got a clue if this is normal or not, but i tried 1 drop from the other concentrates i have (Ice Menthol,Blueberry,Heisenberg) and none of them done the same. They just slowly sank and disappeared before reaching the bottom of the glass.

Is the concentrate wholey Mono Propylene Glycol based? (could be worth asking them if your not sure)

They state on their website "We use PG in our concentrates as a flavour carrier"
I will send them an email and see what they say

The first picture is of 1 drop of concentrate, the second has 3 drops.

Maybe it's fine (Distilled Essential Oil?)... This is worth a read Vaping essential "oils" and lipid pneumonia. : DIY_eJuice

Others are complaining on the Vampire Vape Facebook page... I'd do the same... They may react quicker if more people are contacting them publicly.

But point our you want to know why it's happening.. Are they using actual Anise Oil? I'd want some sort of explanation, not just a solution.

Just a quick update about this.

I sent them an email asking if they had any ideas why this was happening the reply was.

"I’m just waiting for word from the production director on this, as we have recently conducted a lot of tests on Black Jack concentrate as a small percentage of our customers are experiencing separation"

Then received this email a few days ago.

"We’ve discussed the Black Jack situation today & we are going to put a notice on the website & the concentrate bottles as aniseed flavours are prone to separating. This can be solved by using additives such as ethanol by our customers if this occurs"

They also sent me out 2 complimentary bottles of concentrate of my choice. :)
