Fused clapton help!

Made my first fused clapton earlier with x2 26g cores. It was twisted to all hell, not sure what went wrong there?

Any way I can keep it flat without having to bend it all around ? Seems like it wouldnt bend back into shape either.

She still vapes a good un though!

I'd be interested in tips too. I know they use two nylon pliers to straighten on YouTube but has to be a simpler way. I tried backing off the twists on the drill but kept going back and forth with little results! Your claptons look evenly spaced for a first try! I'm sure with more practice it'll come!
