Hi All

This is my first post so hello to everyone.

I have used GearBest many times and love them, never had any issues.

My only query and it's more to do with settling my curiosity, how to GearBest ship from China to the UK avoiding me having to pay any import fees with British Express shipping?

I ordered a Xiaomi Mi NoteBook Air at around £450 and it was delivered by YODEL in the UK within 8 days with nothing to pay in the way of VAT or any import fees. HOW do they do this and which courier does the China to UK shipping portion?

I am very happy with this service and have no complaints at all only praise but I just wanted to know 'how' they do it?

Maybe Gary is a vaper...and the question is a valid one.
I have a British Express order in the pipeline at the moment, but only a small value.
But......I have my eye on something more pricy on the Gearbest site, which if caught by customs would attract duty,VAT and an arm if not also a leg :17:

I think but can't be certain (it's only supposition as none of my many packages which have come by British Express have the usual customs declaration) that a whole cargo is flown to the UK, possibly by Worldwide Express, on which gearbest have already paid a fee so individual packages don't have to go through customs.

Maybe @gearbest.com can let us in on the secret? [emoji4]

Following on from @cindy99's suggestion, I'd guess that the product may have been in the UK warehouse, where things are usually a little dearer due to import duty already paid, and on this occasion GB swallowed the difference and sent it from there rather than China.

I doubt that something the size of a notebook would escape the attention of Customs, even if a low value was declared on it.

i ordered 2 tablets xmas 2015 from GB both via British express both shipped from China and no import fees.
What is different is the fact Some shipping companies ie parcel force, DHL UPS often rummage through and open your package to get fees added as they make money for admin fees. oneworld express don't they accept the declared value
