This may be an ambitious thread (for many ppl to respond too) but here we go. Having been looking to getting into diy for a little while now (for obvious reasons) finally got round to looking at some starting kits, and concentrates.

First up is a little advice on storage, have seen some say store nic in freezer and concentrates in fridge and others say room temp is fine as long as stored in a dark dry place (drawer etc) as fridge/freezer can lead to concentrates etc separating and loss of flavor can occur.

Second up we have which flavors to buy first yayyy! My preference to start is surprise, surprise a strawberry and creams type deal, I love creamy, milky, custardy vapes so i thought it was an ideal place to start.

Looked up some recipes, some very basic and some a little more complex with all different creams and even some cheesecake added in on some, I plan to get around 10 concentrates from various manufacturers as heard great things about CAP, TPA, TFA, FW etc. With the view to expanding on the basic strawberry and creams idea which flavorings would you recommend and from who, doesn't have to be 10 but could add more of the same/bigger bottle flavoring i.e ripe strawberry/sweet strawberry as it will be a main in most my diy to begin with. sorry for the lengthy, I definitely dont expect everyone to post their top 10 fave flavors but maybe some staples that could see me on my way.

I store my stuff in a dark cool cupboard and its fine, for flavours i would start by getting yourself some one shot mix's then
once you have got enough juice to keep yourself going then start on the more complex mix's.
There is a tread a few below this one about the one shots mate.

Nic in freezer and fridge, everything else is stored dark, room temperature. As for concentrates I would start here:-

These are ordered by number of recipes in which they appear, the top 12 appear in a huge amount of recipes, to those you could also add, Capella New York Cheesecake, FW Yellow Cake and Inawera Biscuit which are all good and very useful.

Very good idea thanks, think i will just order a few concentrates instead to get me started, should be able to mix up some decent/slightly different ejuices and then get 1 or 2 of the shots and build from there.

Just what I was looking for thank you, yeah heard that Inawera biscuit is very good, will be picking that up for sure.

shaking concentrates just before mixing them is a good habbit to get into, concentrates can separate into layers(regardless of where they are stored)

+1 for Capella NY cheesecake. Other must haves for me are Flavour Apprentice Vanilla Custard and French Vanilla. Also some Ethyl Maltol.
