Hey all, just wondering what high wattage builds you guys are using in the goblin.

Ive got 0.3 and 0.5 wire, have managed 70 watts on an 8 wrap dual coil build using 0.5 wire and a 2.5 internal diamenter, just wondering what you guys have got out of it.

My current build is a bit mellow, been using a 0.9 ohm build in my orchid and just about got it to fit. only downfall is that i cant go past 35w without burn.

So how do you build yours and how do you wick it?

70

If your getting 70w you are building better than me, think you should be sharing your secret

got mine this week, managed to squeeze the below into it, pretty much the same build as I put in my orchids;

- parallel 0.25mm wire
- 8 wraps each coil
- 2.4mm ID

Comes out just shy of 0.6, running this on a phenom clone.

I noticed it's a lot easier to build on than the orchid (and especially the fogger); the high centre post holes make for easier wire trimming. Also used the same wicking technique, snipping the wick at a 45 degree angle, though put a bit more than I usually would in the wells due to them being huge compared with the orchid.

Not had time to try a different build on it yet, but finding this one very good, worth a punt if you've the wire.

i dont put anything in the wells at all, the same with my orchids. i try to get the strands of my cotton in line with the juice channel and lay it over. currently chain vaping a 75vg juice at 50 watts as im working in a brand new wick. after a couple of hours il go up to 70 :)

this is using a 7 wrap 0.5mm wire with a 2.5mm internal diameter. took the old coil out as it just wasnt doing what i wanted.

this build comes out at 0.2 ohms, but im using it on a regulated mod.

edit: cranked up to 70, a few lung inhales in quick succession and no burn. loving this thing. only a little less flavour than my plume veil but i dont have to keep topping it up

crunchynut is a "Goblin Lover"

Sent from my iPhone using Planet of the Vapes

Sure do love the little guy and been using it every day and now own another
I kept mine simple with people all over saying they keep getting dry hits. I followed Trevor Jones and used a popular build for the goblin 7 wraps 26 gauge on a 2mm bit which comes out at 0.4 wicked it the same as him trimming the shit out of it, blow it to get it fluffy nothing in the juice channels and screw the chimney down with no resistance. Every toke at 38 watts I get the reassurance its wicking well with a nice bubble rising from the juice channel it vapes that well I don't want to take it out but its time for a change and I want to put a twisted build in probably use 28 gauge get it to about 0.3.
My other goblin I only just got and not had chance to build it yet . I was going to use the big chimney and put a 1.2 build in it to have it completely different but the builds on this thread are quite interesting knowing the build deck is so small ennbee that's some thin wire your using there I can't see a parallel build with wire that thin doing what s parallel build is designed for. Parallel coils give you more surface area, more juice burning giving you more vapour
I still may give it a go :)

Ive done dual parallel builds using 0.3 wire, can get a good 6 wraps in at 3mm diameter.

Might try another. But payday im looking at buying another one or even a good single coil tank

crunchynut I'm limited at the moment by the mech mod :( so better off with the thin wire to make sure that it heats up quickly, any thicker and I'm waiting for ever.

I could go thicker and still parallel, but it's a find balance between flavour, vapour and pi55ing through batteries all day. I've only tried the one build on it so far, but as always there's room for improvement/tinkering/rebuilding for the sake of rebuilding.

Just thought id bump this thread (instead of creating a new one) as I've just got a Goblin today and just built it up. I was sent the wrong replacement glass for my Goliath, because Youde had told the vendor that the Goblin/AGA glass fitted and thats what they were sent. So I got the Goblin at a heavily discounted rate (Cost Price) :2thumbsup: as an apology. Couldn't refuse and kept the spare glass, not the Vendors fault at all though.

Heres my build. 0.40mm (26AWG), 3mm, 0.6 ohms about 8 wraps. It was a tight squeeze getting 3mm diameter in there.

What are people running now, you found anything better than when you first built it. Im not getting as much vapour from this as my Lemo 2 single coil 3mm @ 0.6. Ran it at 50w on my iStick though and the wicking keeps up. I wicked it like Rip does on the Lemo. Putting the lower chimney on and pushing the cotton down, then opening the juice holes with a screwdriver. Will check out the other method mentioned in this thread though. How should i position my coils should i raise them or lower them? Or are they good where they are.

Big coils in there can restrict the airflow a bit, might explain it. Usually run 0.4/2.5mm. Enjoying the Goliath atm though. Wish it had top-fill.
