Good morning apes. As I sit here eating my Nutella and toast there's a report on Good Morning Britain where a 14 year old has had his box mod confiscated in school after being caught using it. The thing is his mum is backing him up as all mum's generally do but is calling for the legal use of vapes in class. What do all of you think about this? I'm interested in what you may have to say, please feel free to share your thoughts below

No no no. That's idiotic... Kids ain't allowed to smoke stickies in class why should they vape in class....this stinks of antis propaganda

I said my piece here when the woman and her little prince featured in the Scum.

My thoughts have changed slightly. He is obviously a molly coddled little shit and she is a soapy mare, who is doing her kid no favours by acting the way she is.

The cotton wool cocooned little fool should be excluded from school if he continues to use the bloody thing against the school rules, and she should be prosecuted to the limit of the law for his non-attendance.

And he needs to buy a drip tip too. His kit looks like shite.

On a ten a day habit he can use nicotine replacement therapy to get him over the worst, and learn a valuable lesson that he (like many of us, myself included) was a complete arsehat for even starting smoking in the first place.

Now that's me in a bad mood for the rest of the day. :D

EDIT: My viewpoint is from the perspective of abiding by the established rules which are in place for obvious reasons - not whether he should be vaping. My views on the latter are very similar to the mother in this case - just not in school. Out of school, fine - absolutely no issue and based on evidence of effective THR. :)

FURTHER EDIT: Having read that the family lost their husband/father, I think that this fact may be more significant in this particular instance, and how things are manifesting themselves. I don't change my opinion above, but feel that maybe there are issues that need addressing regarding the bereavement. :(

Aaaannnndddd would have it been in the Sun and on Good Morning Britain if the headline had been .......

"Boy Smokes in School" :D

News flash

It's not allowed in any school and rightly so

Deal with it

i agree with all that is said about kids should not be allowed to vape or smoke, but how many of you fellow apes where like myself and smoked when you where at school.
can't tell you how many of us there where down the wall as it was known, at break times and even sometimes a crafty one in between lessons. i am in my forties by the way.
My parents are none smokers too. It's actually peer pressure that causes a majority of young people to start smoking and now vaping.
all things have different elements to them and each have their merits and pitfalls.
My suggestion is teach your own kids your way and let others do things their way as everyone knows not everything works for everyone it would be a crap world if we all looked acted worked the same way.
I see kids vaping where i live and have been asked loads of time "can i have a go of your shisha" " will you get me some fags from the shop". I obviously refuse and just tell them the dangers of nicotine and that it's addictive, plus i am not willing to do something stupid that could land me with a huge fine etc.
There is no way of stopping it like there was no way of stopping me when i was young and dumb enough.

I hear you but my post was aimed at any parent thinking vaping should be allowed in schools,in particular the recent story if it's to be believed.

Yes I did smoke at school but it was a home for boys with a school within, smoking was allowed and sold in the tuck shop.

Still there was strict times when we could smoke I.e break times but never in class.

If vaping was invented back in the 70's then the same rules would apply ,class being a place to learn not to sit back and chug on your tank or roll up;)

If the school doesn't allow it then wait until your out of school is all I'm saying,no good me saying don't ever start smoking or vaping because they'll do it anyway regardless :D

Different times I guess when I was 12 but today it's a no go and will never be seen as a social thing to do no matter what school or home a child ends up in.

Pity I did not know then what I know now perhaps I would have stayed in class and not taken so many toilet trips :18:
